The Mavericks were led by Luka Dončić, who had 27 points, but the Slovenian superstar struggled with his shot, hitting just 9 of 24 attempts from the field. Kristaps Porzingis added 22 points for the Mavericks.
With the win, the Celtics are now one win away from their first NBA championship since 2008. The Mavericks, meanwhile, will need to win the next two games if they want to keep their title hopes alive.
Game 4 of the series will be played in Boston on Tuesday night.
